Billing Software by Industry — Set Up for Your Kind of Shop

A cement dealer and a mobile shop need different things from the same software: one bills in bags to contractors on credit, the other bills by piece with IMEI numbers and warranty dates. Each page below covers what a particular trade actually needs.

Why the trade matters more than the size

Shops of the same size in different trades have almost nothing in common operationally. What decides your setup is the unit you sell in, whether you extend credit, whether goods are delivered, and how many items you carry. A hardware shop with ten thousand small SKUs needs barcode billing; a steel dealer with twelve items needs a daily rate update. Getting that right at setup is the difference between software that fits in a week and software that never quite does.

What every trade gets

GST invoicing with the rate on the item, an udhaar khata that updates from your bills, stock that moves as you sell, party statements, WhatsApp sharing and the Android app. Those are common to every shop type. What changes by trade is the defaults — units, common items, which reports are put in front of you, and whether the delivery challan is central or unused.

Not listed?

The trades below are the ones we have written up, not the limits of what the software handles. Any shop that bills, gives credit and holds stock works the same way. If your trade is not here, call or WhatsApp us and we will tell you honestly whether it fits — including when it does not.

Frequently asked questions

My trade is not listed. Will it still work?
Almost certainly. The pages listed are the ones we have written up, not the limit of what the software handles. Ask us and we will tell you honestly.
Does the setup change by trade?
The defaults do — units, common items and which reports lead. The core billing, ledger and stock are the same.
Can I sell in more than one trade from one shop?
Yes. Many hardware shops also carry sanitaryware, paint and electrical items; they sit in the same item list with their own units and GST rates.
