Terms of Service

1. About the service

MaterialBill is cloud-based billing and business management software, available through a web browser and an Android app. You store your business data in it, and the software is licensed to you for the duration of your subscription.

2. Account

• Register with a valid phone number and correct details — the number is verified by OTP
• Do not share your password or OTP with anyone; you are responsible for all activity carried out through your account
• Within a single company account, you may add your staff members and assign them roles

3. Subscription and billing

• The free plan is free forever — its limits are listed on the plan page
• Paid plans are billed in advance (monthly or yearly) and a GST invoice is issued
• A reminder is sent before renewal; if you do not renew, the account moves to the free plan
• Refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy — 7 days, no questions asked

4. Your data

• Your business data belongs to you — we process it only to provide the service
• You may export it at any time; when you delete your account, the data is deleted
• Full details are in our Privacy Policy

5. Acceptable use

• Creating false or fraudulent invoices, or operating an account in someone else's name — not permitted
• Attempting to break into or copy the software, or automated scraping — not permitted
• Any use that degrades the service for other users — not permitted

6. Limitation of liability

We make every effort to keep the service running 24×7 and we maintain backups, but the software is provided "as is". GST filing, the accuracy of your accounts and your business decisions remain your responsibility — the software assists with calculations, it does not replace a chartered accountant. Our liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid over the preceding 12 months.
