Many parties, each buying for months
Individual house construction means a customer buys over eight or ten months as the house goes up, mostly on partial credit. The number of open ledgers a dealer here carries is far higher than a contractor-led market, and it is the count rather than any single balance that defeats a paper register.
Following one build from start to finish
A homeowner returns for foundation material, then structure, then finishing, adding to the same account each time. Being able to open that party and see the whole build in order — what was taken, when, what was paid — turns a vague running total into something both sides agree on, and it makes the final settlement short rather than fraught.
Government and institutional work alongside
As the state capital there is a steady flow of institutional construction, paid against a process that wants documents at every stage. A referenced invoice, a challan naming the vehicle and receiver, and a statement that reconciles are what get those bills cleared without a query.
Finishing trades and their units
Shops here often carry plywood from the Perumbavoor cluster, tiles, sanitaryware and paint alongside cement and steel. Sheets and area, boxes convertible to square feet, litres by pack size — each needs its own unit set once, and after that a mixed invoice takes no longer than a single-line one.
Setup and languages
Setting up takes about half an hour on a call with a screen share. The interface and support run in English and Hindi, and the printed invoice carries your shop name and address exactly as you enter them, so Malayalam text on the document is entirely possible.
