Items for hill supply and the plains belt
Enter the ordinary building lines, then set the despatch side up: vehicle and receiver on every challan, freight as its own line. For hill deliveries that record is the only thing that survives the run. Industrial buyers on the plains side need specifications on the item and purchase order handling on the bill, so both halves of the trade are covered from the start.
Two trades in one state
Dehradun sits between hill supply and the industrial belt around Haridwar, Roorkee and Rudrapur. A dealer here often serves both: a hill contractor who wants the bill on WhatsApp immediately, and an industrial buyer who wants it referenced and reconcilable. Both are the same invoice with different fields filled.
Supplying sites in the hills
A truck going up for most of a day, on a road the monsoon can close, to a contractor who settles when his site does — that is an ordinary delivery here. The challan carrying the date, vehicle, destination and receiver is the only record that survives the run, and it stays against the party rather than in the driver's pocket.
Stock through the closed months
Hill supply means carrying stock and credit through the months when work stops. Knowing exactly what is in the godown and exactly who owes what before the season turns is the difference between a good year and a stuck one, and both are reports rather than estimates once billing is doing the recording.
Offline billing and phone setup
Coverage in the hills is unreliable, so shops here use the Android app and bill offline, syncing when the network returns. A half-hour Hindi call covers it, ending with a real invoice raised.
