What exports, and when
Parties with their balances, items with rates and stock, bills, receipts, purchases, ledgers and reports all export to Excel whenever you ask — on the free plan as well as the paid ones, with no notice period and nothing to request from support. That is not generosity; it is the thing that makes every other promise on this site checkable. A product you cannot leave is more expensive than its price.
Backups you do not have to remember
Data sits on managed servers with automatic backups rather than on a machine at your counter. The common instinct is that data on your own computer is safer, and in practice it is the reverse — a counter PC is exposed to theft, a failed disk, a power surge and ransomware, and is backed up only when somebody thinks of it. Losing a device here costs you the hardware and nothing else.
Giving your accountant access
Rather than exporting and emailing a file every month, your CA can have a login limited to reports — they pull what they need and can change nothing. For most shops that removes an entire recurring errand, and it means the accountant is looking at live figures rather than a spreadsheet that was accurate three weeks ago.
If you stop paying, or want out
A lapsed paid plan drops back to free-plan limits rather than locking or deleting anything, and your records stay readable and exportable. We do not delete a shop's trading history over an unpaid invoice. Deletion happens only when you ask for it, through the published account deletion process — which exists because the Play Store requires it and because you should be able to take that decision.
What a useful export contains
Take an export once a quarter even if you have no intention of leaving, and keep it somewhere of your own. Four files cover almost everything a business would need to reconstruct itself: parties with balances, items with rates and stock, all bills for the year, and all purchases for the year. It costs a few minutes and it means the answer to "what if" is a folder rather than a worry. It is also the fastest way to hand a specific year to an accountant or an auditor who wants to work in a spreadsheet.
